Dr. Joseph H. Barnard's Revised List of Fannin's Men
Dr. Joseph Barnard came to Texas on December 14, 1835.
He joined the Texas army as a private in the Red Rovers, and served
under James W. Fannin. He was captured at Goliad; however, his life
was spared so that he could treat the wounded Mexicans there and at
San Antonio. His diary, edited by Hobart Huson, was published in 1949
and is considered one of the best sources of information for the period.
This is the first page of a list that covers 17 pages.
342 men were executed at Goliad.
