Report of House Select Committee, January 16, 1843

A select committee of the Texas House of Representatives conducted an investigation of the events surrounding the attempted removal of the archives from Austin and issued a report highly critical of Sam Houston's conduct. This is one representative page from the report. The full House rejected the committee's report in a vote of 19-18.
