Audio Newsletter "Spotlight"
Will List Newest Texas Titles
In January, Talking Book Program will begin producing a quarterly
audio newsletter titled "Spotlight" that provides listings of audio
books most recently recorded by the Texas Volunteer Recording Studio.
The lists include descriptions of the fiction and nonfiction titles
and provide ordering instructions.
Each year, Texas volunteers record from 150 to 200 titles by Texas
authors or with Texas subjects. The program also records about a
dozen titles in Spanish each year.
If you would like to subscribe to the audio version of "Spotlight,"
please write, call, or send an e-mail message to the Talking Book
Program, PO Box 12927, Austin TX 78701; 1-800-252-9605 or 512-463-5458;
or tbp.services@tsl.state.tx.us.
"Spotlight" will also
be posted online at the TBP website.

Do You Have Any Overdue Books?
The loan period for individual patrons who receive Talking Books
is 45 days. A number of books loaned to patrons earlier this year,
and even last year, are still checked out. Our system works best
for you when you a) keep a request list on file with us or have
the computer select books for you; and b) return books promptly.
Please search for any books you've had for awhile and send them
back to us for others to enjoy. Thank You!
