Services for Local Governments

Staff of the Records Management Assistance unit provide training and consulting services to local records management officers and other government staff in all aspects of records and information management.

Training and Conferences

Basic and advanced records management classes are offered at the State Records Center at 4400 Shoal Creek Boulevard in Austin, at various other locations throughout the state, including the Sam Houston Center in Liberty, Texas.

Online Training is also available for some classes.

Consulting Services

We provide consulting services by phone and mail and, if they can be arranged, through on-site visits. Each government information analyst is assigned a specific group of local governments. To find the name of the government records consultant assigned to a local government, select the county in which the government is located.
