This is a preliminary list of Texas libraries with active Z39.50 servers.  To add your server to this list or to change or update the information listed for your server, please contact Henry Stokes.  To find out more about a library's server configuration, please ask the person identified as the library contact.

Most of the libraries have given permission to download their records for use in a local system.  Libraries in italics have not yet indicated whether records can be downloaded.

SIRSI is currently providing its customers with a fully compliant Bath/Z Texas Profile Functional Area A and C, Level 1 server. The Texas State Library is the first library in the world to be upgraded to this Bath/Z Texas Profile version of the Unicorn Z39.50 server. The remaining SIRSI libraries are configured to support many of the available use attributes including the following common access points:

You can also SCAN (AUTHOR, TITLE, and SUBJECT) and truncate search terms.  Because each SIRSI library has the ability to configure its own set of supported use attributes, some of the above may not be available on each server.  The only other required attribute for searching is the structure attribute (phrase, word, and word list).  Over the next year, all of the SIRSI servers in Texas will be upgraded to support the searches and associated attribute combinations and indexing defined in the Bath/Z Texas profiles.
