With a goal that all Head Start Children enter school ready to learn, the

- Create and maintain an avenue for continuing exchange of information
and ideas with the _____________ Head Start Center through written and verbal
communication.
- Promote group visits of Head Start students, families, and teachers
to the library.
- Provide library programs for Head Start students.
- Campaign to ensure that every Head Start child, family member, and
teacher receives a library card.
- Provide resources such as books, puppet kits, audiovisuals, and other
educational materials.
- Create deposit collections of books, including Big Books and board
books for the _____________ Head Start Center.
- Provide programs for Head Start parents and teachers on the importance
of reading to children from birth to promote a love of books and life-long
learning.
- Provide programs for Head Start teachers on topics such as how to
read and tell stories effectively to children and how to fully utilize library
materials in a variety of formats.
- Seek grant funding for special projects such as free book distributions.
- Actively seek creative means of inclusion of children with special
needs in all areas of service and programming.
