How to Borrow MaterialsBorrowing materialsKeep in mind that this is a collection of materials on subjects in the field of library and information science. Texas residents may register to borrow materials. Materials are mailed to borrowers throughout Texas. Materials are mailed directly to registered borrowers at either home or work addresses. Services and materials are generally available without charge. Users pay only return postage for borrowed items. Some photocopy charges may also apply. RegistrationCustomers must register to borrow materials. Borrower registration may be completed in person, by phone, e-mail or through the Internet using the online request form. All customers must provide home and work/school addresses and phone numbers and a driver's license number or date of birth. How to contact usTel: 512-463-5494 Loan periods and renewalsMost library materials may be borrowed for four weeks and renewals may be granted upon request. High-demand materials may be borrowed for a three-week non-renewable period. Reservations are accepted for on-order and circulating materials. Requested materials are sent as soon as they become available. Returns and overdue itemsBorrowers are responsible for items until they are returned to the collection from which they were checked out. Items may be returned in person or via U. S. mail, delivery service, or interagency mail. The library building does not have an exterior book drop, so in-person return of materials should be made to Room 405. There is no fine for overdue items, but customers will be charged replacement costs for lost items; an invoice will be issued when an item is six weeks overdue. return to top |
