| Past Grant Recipients The Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) expects to offer two federally funded competitive grant programs for fiscal year 2012 (September 1, 2011 to August 31, 2012). New guidelines will be released in November 2011. Program descriptions for Fiscal Year 2011 are provided for reference and planning purposes. Program DescriptionsCooperation GrantsThis grant program provides funds for programs that promote cooperative services for learning and access to information. Programs involving collaboration are encouraged. Programs must emphasize improved services by the library to its customers. Programs may be in the following categories:
It is anticipated that $300,000 will be available; the maximum expected
award is $75,000. Successful projects are funded for a one-year period
beginning September 1, 2010. Funded applicants are eligible to apply for
funding for each of the two years following the initial grant award. Documents marked PDF require Adobe Acrobat Reader, a free plug-in. Guidelines are available in alternative format upon request. Special Projects GrantsThis grant program provides funds for programs that expand library services to all members of the library's community. It enables libraries to develop programs for populations with special needs. Programs involving collaboration are encouraged. Programs must emphasize improved services by the library to its customers. Programs may be in one of the following categories:
