| Introduction |
The Texas Group is a Group Access
Group (GAG) on OCLC. It includes all types of Texas libraries
with full AMIGOS and OCLC membership (full members) and libraries
that are full AMIGOS members, but are not full OCLC members
(selective members). Both types of libraries have access to
all the records in the OCLC database. There are several differences,
however, in what they can see and do on OCLC:
- Full members see the entire bibliographic record; selective
members only see brief records.
- Full members are required to contribute their holdings
to the OCLC databases. Selective members may put their holdings
in the database, but they are not required to do so.
- Full members and Selective members can see the holdings
for all libraries that have their records listed.
- Full members and Selective members may borrow directly
from any full OCLC member lending library and any lending
member of their GAC(s).
