Allan Shivers

Allan Shivers began to get close to power at a young
age. At the University of Texas, he was president of the student body.
He passed the state bar in 1931, two years before actually receiving
his law degree. In 1934, at the age of 27, he became the youngest
person ever elected to the Texas Senate. In 1937, he married Marialice
Shary, the daughter of a prominent Rio Grande Valley family. Here,

and his wife Merle. The identity of the baby is uncertain.
