Remarks to the Washington Gridiron, March 28, 1992

Page 1

The Gridiron Club in Washington, D.C. is an exclusive organization of journalists whose sole purpose is to lampoon the high and mighty at an annual dinner, which has been held for well over a century. Guests at the dinner include the president, diplomats, members of Congress, and other officials who bear the brunt of the humorous roasts. The politicians also get the chance to fire back at the journalists and at each other. Ann Richards' legendary wit served her well at the 1992 dinner.
