Information Resources Technologies

Our Information Resources Technologies Division supports all Texas
State Library and Archives Commission programs by developing, procuring,
installing, operating, and maintaining the agency's computing and
telecommunications hardware and software, and supporting the agency
TexAn services.
The IRT staff operates and maintains twenty-six minicomputers
and servers using UNIX, Linux, and Windows NT operating systems
that currently support the Library's automated on-line public access
catalog and circulation system; the Talking Book Program's automated
circulation system; the automated system used by State and Local
Records Management Division; the statewide accounting and personnel/payroll
systems; and local area network services and Internet access.
