Services to Librarians
The Library Development Division of the Texas State Library and
Archives Commission was created to expand public access to all libraries,
assist libraries in supplying quality information services, and
encourage Texans to learn about and use their libraries. Serving
all types of libraries, including public, academic, school, and
special, this Division provides consulting and continuing education
services, grant opportunities, and coordinates the ten Texas library
systems.

Library Science Collection
The Library Science Collection (LSC) is a "librarian's library"
with materials and information services to support the continuing
education and training needs of Texas librarians, library staff,
trustees, and laypersons in all types of libraries. Texas residents
may register to borrow books and audiovisuals from the LSC, and
request reference assistance by e-mail, telephone, fax, and in
person.
